ExoMind™ Mental Wellness Treatment in Santa Barbara
Do you feel mentally foggy, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself? ExoMind™ Mental Wellness Treatment is an innovative, non-invasive therapy designed to help sharpen your focus, improve mood, and support mental clarity. Using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technology, this gentle 25-minute session stimulates your brain’s natural neuroplasticity, helping you feel better, think more clearly, and sleep more soundly.
It’s important to note: this isn’t about mental health diagnoses. It’s about supporting your mental well-being.
What Is ExoMind and How Does It Work?
ExoMind uses TMS, a decades-old, clinically studied technology that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain linked to mood and behavior. Unlike traditional TMS treatments—often restricted to psychiatric clinics and multi-hour daily sessions—ExoMind is FDA-cleared, quick, and accessible right here at Bissell Clinic.
We offer Protocol Two for anyone feeling mentally foggy, overwhelmed, or anxious. It’s also great if you’re seeking a clearer headspace or improved cognitive function.
Each session lasts 25 minutes, with six total sessions scheduled twice a week for three weeks.
What Does It Feel Like?
Most people describe the sensation as a light tapping on the head. Some even find it so relaxing that they fall asleep. After your treatment, you may experience a sense of calm, improved focus, or a noticeable reduction in mental clutter. Another major benefit? There’s no downtime—you can pop in during lunch and go right back to your day.
While a few people may feel slightly light-headed or experience a minor headache, these effects are short-lived and rare.
Benefits Beyond the Mind
ExoMind goes beyond stress relief. Studies and real-world experiences show it can also support the following:
- Better sleep quality
- Reduced binge eating tendencies
- Fewer racing thoughts
- Improved decision-making and focus
- A general sense of ease and emotional resilience
It’s even received clearance in Canada to support OCD and other wellness concerns. One user even reported skipping dessert for the first time in years after a session, thanks to a stronger mind-body connection.
Long-Lasting Results
After completing your 3-week series, results can last up to a year. Many choose to return monthly for a quick “boost” session to extend the benefits. It’s safe, effective, and designed for people who want to feel mentally sharper—without medication or invasive approaches.
What Some Studies Show
Mental Wellness
In one study, 33 patients (25-78 years, BMI 17.5-43.1 kg/m²) underwent 4 ExoTMS sessions. Patients were evaluated using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS). Willpower & Self-control
In this study, 21 patients (24-74 years, BMI 21.7-44.4kg/m²) seeking improvements in willpower received 6 ExoTMS sessions. Patients were evaluated using the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) and Food Cravings Questionnaire – Trait (FCQ-T). Eight-five percent of patients reported therapies as comfortable; no adverse events were reported. Some findings: 71% of patients reported improved willpower and self-control after the last treatment. And 67% of patients reported feeling more motivated after the last treatment.
Binge Eating
In one study, 38 patients (24-66 years, BMI 19.6-44.4 kg/m²) with binge eating symptoms received 6 ExoTMS sessions. Patients were evaluated using the validated Binge Eating Scale (BES) questionnaire. Ninety-two percent of patients reported therapies as comfortable; no adverse events were reported.

Some key findings are as follows: 78% of patients had lost weight at the 1-month follow-up, and 100% of patients reduced food cravings at the 1-month follow-up. The average weight loss at the 1-month follow-up was 5.07 pounds.
