Meet Karen Still, Physical Therapist
Karen Still graduated from UCSB in 1986 with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences and earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from USC in 1988, graduating with academic excellence. Karen began her career as a Physical Therapist at Goleta Valley Community Hospital. To broaden her horizons, she switched to outpatient orthopedics with Precision Biomechanics, which specialized in lower extremity biomechanics and orthotics for the feet. In 2003, the company merged with Muller and Weber PT where she worked until 2017 when she joined us here at Bissell Clinic.
Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialty
Karen has always had an interest in orthopedics and sports medicine. She earned her orthopedic certified specialty (OCS) in 1996 which she currently maintains and also holds a specialty in foot biomechanics. Additionally, she holds a certification in manual therapy techniques from the Institute of Physical Art and is an expert at building custom foot orthotics.

Outside the Office
Karen has a passion for sharing her knowledge with “the doctors of the future”. For over 10 years, Karen taught musculoskeletal anatomy at UCSB. Additionally, she has been an instructor at a local PT assistant school and at the College of Oriental Medicine.
When she’s not seeing patients, she enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, and helping at San Marcos High school where her youngest son is attending.
