Exercise

An active heart is a healthy heart! Aim for 2.5 hours of moderate level activity per week. Get even more benefits by taking quick activity breaks every hour you’re at work (10 jumping jacks or a brisk walk around the office). Pain keeping you from being more active? All the more reason to make an appointment so that we can find the root cause and start therapies that can help.

Diet

In addition to fish fruits and veggies, supplements have been shown to support heart health as well. Reservatrol, a natural phenol found in the skin of berries has been shown to help lower blood pressure. Try Magnesium and Vitamin E for heart rhythm support!

Prevention

There’s a reason people say “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” all the time. They say it because it’s true! Our local diagnostic facility offers cardiac CT scans that examine the health of your arteries. Call us to schedule your examination and referral.
